Microsoft has officially revealed The Xbox Series S, So We Now Know the Console’s Price

The Xbox Series S has been officially announced recently. We now know the price and the date of release of this long-awaited alternative option from Microsoft to the expected next-generation console.

Microsoft just tweeted about the news with the description of the Xbox Series S. According to the company, it will be smaller than any previous Xbox, and with next-gen performance. The price of the new console will be USD 299 (or £249).

Check out the new design.

From the photos, it seems like the new console’s design is cheaper and, at the same time, a thinner choice compared to the Xbox Series X.

We can see that Xbox Series S has a large vent; it looks more like the previous model, the Xbox One S.

Thanks to the leaks that we’ve seen before, we know that this console is going to be all-digital. It has also been revealed that its resolution will be lower if we compare it to the Xbox Series X. However, it was suggested that users will still be able to play Xbox Series X games, for example, Fable 4, because of the backward compatibility.

👀 Let’s make it official!

According to the abovementioned tweet, there will be more news soon. We don’t know when exactly, but not during the Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft has announced that the event won’t feature any information related to the next-gen.

There has also been a trailer for the slimmer console. It established that Xbox Series S doesn’t feature a disc drive; it can play the next-gen games at up to 120 frames/second on a NVE SSD. What is more, the console is 60% smaller compared to the upcoming Xbox Series X.

It’s important to note, however, that, according to the info of the official RRP of the console, the Xbox Series X price will obviously be more than USD 299. Waiting for more information from the company.
